Smartschool Education Conducts CSR Activity at Udayan Care Foundation, Greater Noida

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become an essential part of modern organizations, allowing companies to give back to society and contribute towards building a better future. Smartschool Education Pvt. Ltd., under its CSR initiative Shiksha Setu, recently carried out one such noble activity at Jag Shanti Udayan Care Foundation, Greater Noida. This initiative reflects Smartschool’s commitment not only to advancing education but also to empowering communities.

 

Udayan Care is a well-known NGO that has been working tirelessly to support vulnerable children, women, and youth in India. Established in 1994 by Dr. Kiran Modi as a Public Charitable Trust, the NGO started its journey by opening its first home for orphaned and abandoned children in Delhi in 1996. Since then, Udayan Care has grown remarkably and today runs 11 homes across India—including branches in Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Noida, Kurukshetra, and multiple locations in Delhi.

 

The NGO provides care, shelter, and education with the mission of giving underprivileged individuals a chance to live with dignity and independence.

 

As part of its CSR outreach, the Smartschool team visited Jag Shanti Udayan Care Home in Greater Noida. This branch is a unique all-girls and women’s NGO home that currently accommodates 30 young women. All residents are above the age of 18 and live independently, managing their day-to-day requirements with the support provided by the NGO.

 

One of the remarkable aspects of the Greater Noida branch is its approach to empowering women through independence. The residents are not only provided with essentials like ration and daily items but are also encouraged to manage their lives responsibly, preparing them for the outside world.

 

During the visit, the Smartschool team was warmly welcomed by Mr. Deepak Sharma, Trustee of Udayan Care Foundation. His heartfelt hospitality set a positive tone for the visit, and he personally guided the team through the facilities, explaining the NGO’s vision, daily operations, and the impactful work being done for the residents. His active involvement and dedication towards the cause left a lasting impression on the Smartschool team.

Though the donation was modest, the initiative was aimed at strengthening the bond between Smartschool and organizations like Udayan Care that work at the grassroots level. The act underlines Smartschool’s belief that education and empowerment must go hand in hand for building a stronger society.
